World of Tanks addiction

I don't know if any ever played the game. I did for the past six months. In that time I have spent $850.00 on in game "gold". I missed a house payment and had my electricity shut off because I spent the money.

My wife and kids begged me to stop because I was playing 6-8 hours every day.

I work in IT. I would spend my work hours surfing the game forums, often putting off my work.

Often during work and family events I would drem about my next "battle" and how to come up with real world cash to buy things in game.

I had no idea it could get this bad.

Greetings papasunbr, Yes,

Greetings papasunbr,

Yes, as gamers, we never realized the full impact of gaming until we felt it ourselves. Just hearing it from someone else doesn't make us understand. Daydreaming about a game plainly shows how much the game is becoming part of you. To start quitting a game, you really have to know the full negativity gaming has on your life. Between your family and your game, your family definitely comes first. Stop letting them down, they're there to support you. Take the support, and prioritize your life. The process is excruciating, depending on the person, but the reward is a lifetime of peace and no regret. ~ForTheFinalTime

I can make it through the rain
I can stand up once again on my own
And I know that I'm strong enough to mend
And every time I feel afraid I hold tighter to my faith
And I live one more day and I make it through the rain
~Mariah Carey's Song "Through The Rain"
Life's too short to end right now. Think about those who love and care for you. There's always a silver lining in the clouds. There's always sunlight somewhere down the road. One day, looking back, you will appreciate. Don't spend your life regretting. Just raise your head, and make it through the rain.

I played it. It was the last

I played it. It was the last item I tried. Your mind creates dropanine in the central vortex what makes you feel so good. Yet its a short term boost. In the end it can cause the stuff you experienced. No control putting the game first.

My advice is : quit this game...quit any online game. Quit any games fot the next 3 months and think: what is the added value of a game you miss in life. Or are you evasing probkems? How is your work? And problems in family...Do you feel rage, anger, pain in muscles / back..etc.

The problem is excessive gaming undermines your resistance against problems in life...and it can even move you to emotional exhaustion. When you stop expect to feel thar. Your mind comes quickly at rest once you accept to quit. but your body every day prepares to gamr...so heartbeat goes up., bloodpressure down, You may feel cold, while swating the same time...You may get extreme tensions...and bad sleep ( awake very early..) On the other hand you will be less tired..... Best deinstall and kill the account. Although WoT games only take 15 minutes the rush of playing can be extreme...and your mind gets a lot to do.,,,During times where your mind should rest after a hard days work ...As I said it looks like you relax..but playing takes more energy then working.

I recommend full stop as if you slowlty take the time diwn and yoiu succeed, withdrawal may take much longer.

I quit my job to be able to

I quit my job to be able to play 24/7 with naps in between.

I needed that job. I messed up my retirement, my finances, my entire life changed over that game.

The further away from gaming I now am, the more I realize how much I miss the job.

I have the same problem. The World of Tanks is a demonic game and a tippical way of GAMBLING. They just want more money to pay, more and more real money, euros.

And they use Natzi crosses on their tanks.

This game is a great eavil and is very dangerous.

i tried to delete my account, but bustards from Wargamming WOT need 45 bussiness days to delete the account.

and then you change opinion and play agen and agen till your nerves explode.

Let God help us agents demonic satanic eavil gambling game World of tanks!

Hello Salvation and Welcome

Hello Salvation and Welcome to OLGA

We're a group with people which seek to leave videogames because our excessive gaming affected our life (at work, studies, family etc). We do not promote hate or want to entablish some kind of rejection towards videogames, we just want to stop gaming and move on with our lives.

This is our mission statement:

On-Line Gamers Anonymous is a fellowship of people sharing their experience, strengths and hope to help each other recover and heal from the problems caused by excessive game playing.

You're welcome to stay around us and read the posts of other members here, also we have meetings in the night in which we share about our daily struggles now that we're outside the game.

Good luck.

Yeah, I dont hate anyone, I

Yeah, I dont hate anyone, I love all people.

And I just stopped playing WOT. You just have to sell all crew and in Depo and Store in game buy and sell non stop all till you have 0 zero at your account, then a few times you kill your team players and then WOT wargaming stuff block your account for a while. then agen you kill your team and they block you for a few days more. So finally you dont play it sh** anymore and deinstall game and pray to GOD in Orthodox church and Jesus and Saints will save you.

Or you could not spend all

Or you could not spend all that time and effort and just stop.

I tried to stop many of my

I tried to stop many of my games this way. Sure, I would stop that game, but would quickly find another. It got so bad that I almost lost my job of 16 years, my wife, and my children.

I just completed a 3 month in-patient treatment facility for addictions of all kinds (including process addictions). I AM an addict, no different than a substance addict or a gambling addict.

For ME (I am speaking for me, only), the only way to stop is complete abstenance (sp?). Since there aren't local OLGA meetings in my area, I've been attending the local NA meetings which help.

I tried to stop for over 3 years and I could not. I was gaming for about 8 hours a day at work, gaming when coaching my kids' soccer and TBall, out with the wife, in meetings, while driving. It didn't matter the game. On line, iPhone apps, facebook apps, iPad. Game first thing in the am before getting out of bed, gaming last thing at night in bed for a few hours.

When I would quit gaming for even a few days, I would get highly irritable, have headaches, and think nothing but of gaming.

If you are so concerned about selling all of your items to stop a game, this is just another action for distraction. I would recommend stopping the gaming, and delete your account. If you need to upset people and sell all your in-game stuff, then you are using others to try and stop your gaming.

Addiction is a cunning and

Addiction is a cunning and powerful disease. In order to avoid falling back into the sticky trap of gaming, it might be better to avoid it entirely at this point. In my experience, gaming can easily lead to further stress, ruined homes and self-pity.

Hopefully you are ready and willing to be free of this disease.

If so, it's probably a good idea to sell everything you have on the account so you can get some money back. Then delete/uninstall any files, systems and icons that are linked/associated with that game. Bring someone with you like a sponsor or trusted friend when you go about the pc cleaning process.

Prayer for the Day: Higher Power, help me to be realistic about the challenge I'm facing and to take good care of myself. If you need help PM me! I will gladly offer you whatever aid I can.

You don't have to live

You don't have to live without it forever. Just for today, you can get by without it. Resolve to not play for the rest of the day. If that's too long, make it until lunchtime. Then until 3 pm. Then dinner.

If that's too long, resolve just to not play it for the next few minutes. Whatever it takes. You CAN do it.
