My addicted partner is 33, has been a gamer in some form all his adult life, didn't game excessively for the first year of our relationship, past 6 months have been hell
My husband is 43. Not sure how long he's had this behavior, I know it was way before I met him that it started from what he's told me about the games he plays. He didn't do it a lot when we were first together, but it picked up not long after we got married. PS3 games first, not games on his phone that are costing hundreds.

he's been gaming since age 11 - he completely uses it to avoid dealing with emotions (his dad died in a hit & run when he was 6).

45, playing addictevly 15 years, before this addiction had a lot of different bihevioral addictions, some are very dispicable and disgasting.
