I'm addicted to Castle Age!

Hello,i'm glad i found you. Here is my story,i'm 32 years old, started playing Castle age (CA) 3 years ago,at the begining was realy fun and i enjoyed it,but now i spend more than a 5 hours daily, this game is machine for money and if you want to become stronger you have to pay for Favour points(FP) to level up faster and get stronger items and new gems.I didn't spent my real money because i get my FPs by farming ancient serpents,i'm in several facebook groups for killing serpents, right now i have 60 facebook accounts to join these groups.I spend all my free time to kill the serpents, collect the rewards from them and clear the monster list. Before CA i had real life,i loved to read books, watch TV,gooing for a walk, drinking beer with friends. Now is only CA,my girlfriend is always sad and feels like she has no boy friend,i have problems at work because of CA,my life is miserable again because of CA,i can't stay 30 min without touch my phone. If someone call me and say lets drink one beer at bar,i respond "oh can't its friday i have to hunt green crystals,it's sunday i have to hunt red crystal or oh so so sorry i cant it's tuesday we have battle for 3x coins" I know it will be very difficult, but i will do it,i'll stop play this stupid clicky online game,i want my life before CA back again.I'll start spend more time with my little nephew and my girlfriend,i hope one day i'll have my own family and this is the main reason to stop play CA. Thank you very much and sorry for my english.

welcome

Sounds like you know what the problem is (the compulsive gaming) and what the solution is (stopping it completely.)  If you find yourself struggling with this solution, come to some of the meetings because it's so much easier to stop along with other people doing similar things.

Thanks for sharing your story

Thanks for sharing your story,

I can really relate to the mental obsession of thinking about games.

one week no gaming

Thank you guys, one week without playing CA,during this one week i gave my account to one CA friend, deleted on my phone facebook, the messenger and said good buy to all my CA friends it wasnt easy i play with these people 3 years, some of them said sorry to hear that,we need you here you can control your play time, the truth is i can't control my playing time, but i just ignored what they said. For 3 years gaming i dont know their faces, most of them are hiding under fake profile photos.I don't feel pain, but i'm confused, when comeback from work i don't know what to do with my laptop, but now i'm more concentrated when i'm doing my work without thinking for all guild battles, now i sleep one more hour before go to work, and go early to bed,I began to reread my favourite book, one of the evenings went to cinema with my girlfriend. It's not easy but i'll try to stay away from play CA.I found that is more difficult when i'm at home,so i need to spend more time out. Thank you

Happy to hear you are still

Happy to hear you are still free from gaming, congratulations to 1 week!!!!!

I also had to say good bye to many gaming friends when i stopped playing. Some of them where IRL friends that just lived far away. I have lost a bit of contact with them, but the void has been filled with new game-free friends, and im not alone.

Good luck, keep coming back!

good job

I hope yor're still CA free! i understand the feeling of having to leave people that you have played with for several years. Its a rough time when you feel like they are your only friends sometimes!

keep the great work up!
