I looked at 5 parts from your link. I thought it was very well presented. I was pleased to see the different ways high schools are dealing with smart phone use now.

It was scary to see how babies get attached to tablets/smart phones and heartbreaking to see how parental smart phone use (in an experiment) undermines the childs need for attention. It looks like it  affects their sense of self worth to be ignored.

Yes, it's scary that kids

Yes, it's scary that kids have to compete with a smartphone for their parents attention. I think that more and more kids will be partially parented by online communities and "streamers". If the virtual communities online are healthy and beneficial that is great but as far as I've gleaned (having no statistical hard facts) many of the most successful streamers and virtual communities are always sponsored by something that may not be beneficial or healthy.
