Hey Wolf, welcome to OLGA.

Hey Wolf, welcome to OLGA. You seem to have already told your family that you want to quit gaming. How about you ask for their cooperation? Little things like finding a way to move the computer and ruling out talks about gaming in house should help you.

Anyway, as triggering as those things can be, to me the most important factor is my own resolve. I remind myself of why I quit and I try and remember that whenever the cravings come.

Healthy enthusiasms add to life, addictions take away from it.

Hi Blue_Wolf, it was great

Hi Blue_Wolf, it was great chatting to you tonight... and let me congratulate you on making the decision to quit. It will be hard, especially with having a brother who plays, but you are making the right decision in quitting, and are taking control of your own life. There is a lot of support and people who understand what you are going through, here - so come here often and post to let us know how you are doing. It would be a good idea to attend the regular chat and skype meetings too if you can. We are here supporting you BW, and congratulations again on deciding to quit.

It was great seeing you at the meeting tonight! I love meeting new friends. We all speak a language no one else knows. All those non-gamers out there have no idea.

Cya tomorrow night!

This sounds tough to me.

This sounds tough to me. My son played when I was living with him, but it was different game and in his bedroom with the door closed. So, it didn't trigger me when I was in that period of recovery.

Here, there is wifi, but my roommate does not play...she watches the soaps which I am not at all interested in.

I think that making it clear to your brother you can't talk about the game at this time and asking others in the family to avoid that conversation will help. Also, see if there is a solution to brother having to be in the living room. Maybe you could change bedrooms with him? Then it would be you in the living room, I assume.

Other than that, pray and ask for protection from triggers....

Best of luck, but that is all I can think of atm.
