non-role player

I am definitley computer game addicted but not to role playing games. Still I play computer games on Yahoo 4,5 6, even up to 9 hours at a stretch without being able to stop and I do it most every day. Often I can stop only when I've frozen my computer and have to hit the power switch to re-boot. then when it's off I can pull away and go home - often wishing a truck would roll over on my car on the freeway.

So I was wondering if anyone reading these has the same kind of computer game problem. I know I'm not the only one in the world with this problem but I don't know if I'm the only one on this web site with this problem.

thx.

I see noone has aswered you quite yet. I myself have not been addicted to those types of games. But I believe I have seen someone on here who has. (at least one person, i'm sure) Games like Minesweeper and solataire etcetera can be just as addictive, if you're so inclined. And welcome by the way.

Re: non-role player

does it matter if an alcoholic gets drunk on whiskey, or brandy or wodka?

You are here with fellows who go through the same, no matter what game. I have never been addicted to online games - in fact, I can't stand them. Still, I was addicted.

Wish you to get well

This organization is for all games - video, on-line, computer, console, etc.

The name is a bit mis-leading. I could not use just Gaming Anonymous, cause than people would think it is for gamblers.

You are welcome here, ajlsmith. I am 51.

I hope you will create a program for your real life using tools that are offered here, and that you will continue to come and use this place for support, and offer support for others. It is by givng away what we have, that we keep it.

Thank you. And thank you so much for starting/running this web-site too. I read about the online meeting which is apparently tomorrow evening at 6:30 here and I will be on it.
