Hey

Hello . I am a long time gamer and I want to quit gaming forever. I had lots of quitting and relapsing back and forth and I would like to know what to do when those strong cravings come and how to not relapse again. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

P.S. I hope you wont be offended by my short introduction, this is just what I can write now.

Welcome Dai.  Good questions!

Welcome Dai.  Good questions!  To deal with cravings, (1) I got really honest with myself about my compulsive gaming by going to meetings and listening to other people who are so very honest about their gaming and the problems it caused.  (2) I am determined to go from now until the end of the day without starting a video game, my highest priority, and use the methods that I learned at meetings.  (3) I talk it over with other people in recovery from video gaming addiction, who I met in meetings.

There are daily meetings at 8:30pm Romanian time.  I hope you will meet the friendly supportive people I've found there.  You deserve it.  It really helps to know we're not alone, and to work on this together.
