Wife hooked on Mobile Strike and LINE app all in 1mo.

This isnt my wife, my wife is 39, BS in math, holds 2 state bar lisence (yes she a lawyer) and has always been against lies, cheating, addictions, non transparent relationships, no love marriages (without health reasons) and spouses who abandon there love ones.
And then.....
In one month...
It started with her yazzty game app, play mobile strike to lv10 get these dice...
2 days later, well it's only $5, couple days later $20 then $40, then $100 a day.
3 weeks later, she blew $2000, then I find out she installed line app (unknown ring tone, i questioned the ring tone, she bacame angry).
Week later, she was on her phone, lol and looks at me and says "my friend says I sound like seri"
Me "Who is your friend?"
Her "get out of my office. Your being rude"
And then comes the next day ...
After 23 yrs, she says the doom words...
I want a divorce in 12 weeks, I haven't loved you in years, grabs her pillows and now sleeps in office, wakes up at 3am to chat on line.
Then.... I find out she stole $1200 off of grandpa credit card that is stored in Amazon (you can buy coins) she claims he knows.
I asked him "she needed some legal stuff"
Then she stole $500 from our daughter , she says "mom needed some legal stuff"
And then.... our cell phone bill is maxed out.
I need this to STOP.
Im about to turn her in to state bars for her actions. Legally I can.
She lie about every dollar, like a 12 count off brand zertic $34. I find receipt, tablets $5, three $25 gift cards. She paid mostly in cash to hide it.
She uses the divorce threat as leverage. Sucks being married to lawyer.

How did this happen??? She has extremely high IQ, never fail for a scam. And then this...

Should I inform her behavior health doctor, she also takes Adderall for ADD. She never mention to her doctor about her ptsd from a plane crash (left 2 dead). Can her doctor do anything, besides make her made.

Why me???

Hi Mike

Hi Mike

It sounds like her addiction is every bit as damaging and out of control as gambling or heroin addiction. You need to consider her to be a desparate junkie and act accordingly.

You need to get your own legal advice as to how to secure your money as nothing may be safe until you do,

If she is breaking the law then becoming accountable for that and facing consequences may wake her up.

Talk to your doctor about what can be achieved medically by intervention; unless she is psychotic or suicidal it will be hard to get her into treatment unless she wants to. People can become psychotic from gaming. There is no harm in informing her doctor about this...but patient confidentiality may stop him communicating further with you about what he is going to do about it.

Also you could find any meetings local to you for the loved ones of gamblers. Check out the meeting directory tab on this site https://www.gam-anon.org/ .  I know that what she is doing is gaming rather than gambling, but if you connect with loved ones of gamblers in your area you may get some good tips and advice on how to deal with a partner who is out of control with money.

Read all the advice linked to in the post below. it may help you to understand about game addiction.

She did not chose to become addicted. Addiction is powerful and baffling. Sorry for this stress and devastation you are having to deal with. You are not alone.

Your not alone, mine left our

Your not alone, mine left our marriage, moved to her office, then I switched places to show love.
Still WTF???

I did report her to her mental doctor, he sounded puzzled. Luckily my wife signed a hepa form with my name.

She always talked positive about us and our relationship.

I'm dropping on flash drive tomorrow with him with what I know and spending.

Hi Mike.

Hi Mike.

We do hear about online affairs. Such as in these threads below. And there are many more.

The thread below describes what it feels like to be romantically involved online ... it may be how your wife is feeling

It's a hard choice to make. Look after yourself.
