The greatest threat to humanity is our technology.

Pop Science has become yet another addiction that is ruining people's lives just like the addiction to on-line gaming, the internet and social media. About six months ago my wife and I were enjoying watching the Human Universe series with Prof. Brian Cox, until one day I went to Prof. Brian Cox Facebook site where he was promoting his Infinite Monkey Cage American tour stating that "...Americans are anti-science and myth hugging idiots". I soon realized that this was not science but rather science versus religion. These celebrity scientists were simply using anti- God/religion to promote science on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. The psychology behind the addiction of science is simple. A relative "nobody" in real life, suddenly becomes a scientist where they can debate science as intellectuals. It is VERY attractive in that sense, and therein lies the addictive property.... I am not very "needed" in real life, so the lure of being an intellectual can be a huge boost for the ego and personality. Sadly within a few months of following these science celebrities like Stephen Hawking, Brian Cox, Michio kaku people start proselytizing hate messages against religious people. I love science not science versus religion. Everyone knows children exposed to violent shoot'em up video games at a young age causes them to become aggressive and desensitized to violence. Is it any wonder why we see spamming on this site from Pop Science trolls.
