CBC TV - The Fifth Estate

Hi everyone. This media user is registered as 'CBCTV" and posted this info under her profile. If anyone in Canada has info to offer, they may want to respond. (Not sure why she hasn't created a forum post yet).

-Brad

My name is Nicole Brewster-Mercury and I am a journalist with CBC TV-weekly current affairs show called the fifth estate. I am currently working on a story about online gaming and gaming addiction. I'm interested in learning more about how the pro-circuit world works with online gaming ie- X-Box and Playstation. Any information that you can provide or personal stories you can share would be great. If you have particular knowledge about the Call of Duty video game, how it works, how clans are formed. Please contact me or feel free to reply to the post. My deadline for receiving responses is November 14th.

Sincerely,

Nicole Brewster-Mercury

Associate Producer

CBC TV-fifth estate

Nicole and I have spoken

Nicole and I have spoken several times. She's doing pre-production research on this piece and plans to move forward on it. Also, Global TV is going to do a longer feature on gaming addiction, possibly before Christmas or early in the new year.
