survived the first day

I never thought it would be so hard to stop gaming. I stopped gamin' yesterday and I was only 1 hour in my battle when I noticed withdrawal symptoms. I've decided to pay a visit to the chat room and I can advice everyone to do it. Before I entered I was very close to pick up my controller and start playin', but in the chat room I've talked with some great people who made feel like I wasn't alone. So I've started a journal so I can write down my feelings, agression,... but also the good things that happen :) So I'm pretty proud of myself that I made it through the first day :)

I'm taking it step by step, one day at a time

but i'm so happy that I've found this community so that I can recover knowin' that there are people who are supportin' me in this and know how it is to stop gaming

Good for you, GC.  Taking

Good for you, GC. Taking the first action to step away from a craving is always the hardest for me, which is why I put so much effort into avoiding the cravings in the first place. But you had the craving, and chose to log on to OLGA instead, and you found some help. You should feel proud of yourself, because you found the strength to do something positive for you at a time when it was hard for you to do that something positive. One day at a time is exactly the right attitude for you to have right now, and it will be the right attitude to have once you've got 15 years of clean time also. Keep it up!

That's wonderful :) The

That's wonderful :) The first days are the toughest, hang in there! Do stuff you enjoy doing. Writing is a great idea.

It helped me to just get out of the house and sit somewhere else, away from the computer. But whatever is working for you is great.

i don't know why I'm only

i don't know why I'm only reading this now.

Well done, i'm glad i did the same yesterday and today. Pls keep us updated what is happening.

Everyone is here to help each other along. One day at a time

If plan A didn't work ...the alphabet has 25 more letters ----> do NOT give up

Luke 18:27 - And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. (surrender)

Any person can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad - it is the remorse of bitterness for something that happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us, therefore, live one day at a time! A day without giving in to our addiction is A GOOD DAY !!!

Writing helped me when new

Writing helped me when new and it helps me now, too. Writing helps me get my feelings out to me, not to anyone else, and be honest. I love it.

So glad you are here with us.
