Our website is back up and running!
8/18/2014 We came under DDoS attack last night about 8:30 PM central time. We were still being attacked at midnight. The hosting company would not bring us back up until the attack was over. I conatcted our hosting services this morning and they stated our server crashed. I contacted them again at 10:30 a.m. They said the server did not crash that was a different server and we were down because of the attack. They brought us back up and we now have precautions put in place to prevent future attacks.
Please reply here if you are still having issues and state what they are. As of 8/23/2014.

Hi Liz! Something isn't looking right still - it's showing almost 1000 guests online right now and the website has been lagging the last few days or timing out which it never used to.

I think the issue is the sheer number. Up until the weeks right before that crash, I don't recall ever seeing over 100 guests on at any time. Right after the crash for a couple days there were almost 1000 guests online and right now 517 guests. Seemed like a huge change, especially considering that a ddos attack can mean attacker sends in multiple user accounts at same time to overload the system.

My two cents is that I really don't believe that there are over five hundred guests on right now. How could anyone really believe that?
I do believe that this number illustrates an inflated # which may or may not have been a ghost result of the recent attack(s).
Thankfully, hopefully, Olga has new security features which are actively protecting the site from similar attacks.
