Inner Peace

INNER PEACE - Author known to The Universe - "According to my experience, the principle characteristic of genuine happiness is peace, inner peace." - His Holiness the Dalai Lama -Cultivate a sense of peace, an abiding inner peace that doesn't depend on outward circumstances. ** So much chaos, so much drama, so many emotions surge through us. It is so easy, so tempting to believe that once we get through this circumstances, once we achieve this goal, once we solve this problem, then we will be peaceful. ** That's an illusion. ** "I'm happy when I get what I want...for a few minutes." ** Getting what we want may cause us to feel happy for a moment, but it will bring a limited, transient happiness. The next problem or emotion will present itself. Or we will begin resenting that person or job, because he, she, or it did not bring the happiness we believed it would. Like a carrot on a stick, happiness will always be the next problem, acquisition, or emotion away. ** Be peaceful now. ** Be happy now. ** Take the limits off your joy...God, help me remember to be peaceful first, no matter what situation I face....peace out..loves :--)x

I like that Pat. Pursuing

I like that Pat. Pursuing happiness is overrated and endless when the end result is suffering due to inability to fullfil that desire. When and what we needed is inner peace within us. Thanks for sharing Pat.

It's good to have goals and dreams, but while you're waiting for things to change, waiting for promises to come to pass, don't be discontent with where you are. Learn to enjoy the season that you're in--Pastor Joel Osteen

I used to always run after

I used to always run after that "happiness" but nothing was ever "just right." Sometimes the "right event" would happen at the "wrong time." Or it was the "right time" and the "wrong thing" was happening.

I wasted so much time running after that elusive idea of "something out there" would make me happy. But it was never out there to begin with. It's what's inside of me.

Today I'm looking at being accepting life as it is.

I love your points of view

I love your points of view girls! And I completely agree with it.

It's an endless run, but even being happy at the moment if difficult! Can you girls manage?

I can make myself happy many times, but I admit that it less than the times I forget about it hahah!

Been game clean since the 21st of February 2014. Getting there day by day!
Today is where we all begin, the rest is still unwritten!
I don't want to have spent hours on a stupid game on my last day of life!
Private Message me, I'm eager to hear your story!!! :D
