Some responses to a story

The story I'm referring to is the sixth post (counting the orignial as #1) here:

Please read the story first. And thank you, Liz, for bumping up this lovely story.

Liz requested comments on another thread. Here are mine.

A recent definition of faith, which I very much like: Faith is the willingness to expose yourself to the truth, regardless of the consequences.

Although not considering myself particularly Christian, I am quite enamored with much of what is in the Christian Bible, which I know rather well due to my upbringing and prior study (and much of which can be found in other places, like the lovely story above). So here are my comments on the story posted above, taken from that book:

"The kingdom of God is within you"

"These three remain: Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

and, finally

"God is love,"

I am a recovering computer game and gambling addict. My recovery birthday: On May 6, 2012 I quit games and began working a program of recovery through OLGA No computer games or slot games for me since December 12, 2012. No solitaire games with real cards since June 2013.

I love this, Dan1. This

I love this, Dan1. This really speaks to me, and I am not sure what to call myself. This is a meaningful way for me to interrupt faith without labeling myself. I fit best into the "Deist" category, but am very open minded and appreciate expressions of faith. Thank you.

It is a very powerful

It is a very powerful story. Thanks for bringing it up to our attention Dan1.

In addition to what you have already said, I like to mention a quote which I really like:

"We are all one in the infinite ocean of love"(don't know by who)

"The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past. You can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches." "The first step toward change is acceptance." "Once you accept yourself, you open the door to change. That's all you have to do." "Change is not something you do, it's something you allow."- Will Garcia

Hmhmhmh. I think I have to

Hmhmhmh. I think I have to live a good life and that's my understanding of the story.

"Take what you need and leave the rest." I got nothing but moments to live.
