AA Thought for the Day
March 12, 2013
Acceptance
And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation -- some fact of my life -- unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God's world by mistake.

Thought to Ponder . . .

I'm a believer. Sincere acceptance, gratitude and humility have been at the core of my recovery and produced the most measurable change in me.
Acceptance. When I am disturbed, it is because a person, place, thing, or situation is unacceptable to me. I find no serenity until I accept my life as being exactly the way it is meant to be. Nothing happens in God’s world by mistake. Acknowledge the problem, but live the solution!
Me, too, Gal. And it's a long time coming for me. It's not yet totally comfortable but already I can see great relief in that I don't have to change the world, or even think it's my duty to change the world.
