Yeah. i got another story, and so ya know i wont use grammer or all that stuff. i never really do unless i have to. ahem
My story i guess is pretty much the same, me and 2 friends (we were in the 7th grade at the time) bought EQ when it first came out, that is when basically we paid 10 bux a month to beta test for verant ( i hate those guys). anyway, one of my friends crappy computer couldent support the game, so he got to about 20 and quit, but me and the other friend, plus another that got the game, joined a new server and we totally rocked. we were kings, nay gods among men, the best of the best of the best. and that makes ya feel lgood, being the absolute best out of tens of thousands. we formed the best guild on the server, one of the top 5 powerguilds of the game.
Also, i must mention that i wasnt one of the carebear levelfesting (expletive here in case i shudent sware). i was what most of the wimps on the server would call and "@#%$" i stole, backstabbed, etc, and terrorized eveyrone save my few friends and guildes, the "Trustables" as i called them. as a great man once said, it was a VERY short list. I wasnt even on it! anyway
we were awesome. but i must say, it started getting boring. i still dont really see why others dont get bored with the game....you dont do much cept at 50, and then 60, and even then, me and my friend at 60 got bored. we were the founders of the mightiest guild, but the youngin's ran everything. we stopped doing much with the guild.....eventually we were taken off the website roster and left to colect dust. we still have our accounts until we can sell them safely, but niether of us have played for about 3 months ( and by that i mean logging on at all)
Actualyl i told this story wrong, that story was the second one, the first was was less glorius perhaps, i leveled up really fast, i was totally asskickingly awesome, but then a friend of my offered $200 for my account. I figured hell man, 200 bux for almost nothing, Ka-Ching! and i sold it. about 8 months later, during a doldrum period in which no good games had come out (Diablo 2 is NOT very good people) i started playing again, and bought my account back, a little better for 100 dollars from the guy my friend sold it to. then that first story takes over.
The fact is, i didnt and still dont think i was ever addicted becuase i could and did quit like that. sometimes i took a weeklong break, but its true, i tied up loose ends before hand. Maybe the fact that i was only in 7-9th grade whne it happened helped, but really, it was no biggie. i feel nostalgic at times, and hell, i'm only 16! In the end, i got tons of grate, priceless memories that me and my friend will laugh over and talk about for years. i also made about $100 (yes i counted in the $10 a month and game cost)
One final thing that must have made it much easier for me was the GMs, or Game Masters, who cant even master their own bowels, those **** ****s. also known as CSRs (customer service representitive) they are in fact the most incompetent people in the universe. they know nohting about the game, and thats only the start of their black pit of immense ignorance. They are also mean and heartless ****s, real communists/facists. whichever is worse. msot EQ players heard of the player who posted a suggestive story on EQvault a website that is not affiliated with Verant or Sony, but they got banned. and of course their worst offense, which i will now explain:
Scars of Vel. was out and a month old or so, and the GMs and dev team (also satanic subhumans) thought "Hey, no guild could clear out the tower of frozen shadow or kill the warders and spawn the sleeper, so lets just not actually do it, or in the tower of FS, lets put a rediculos item on the last dude." anyway, they cleared FS, and a guy got a weapon, no rent u foo, but still 115 dmg 10 dly, many stats and a kickass proc. yes thats right 115 DMG, 10 DLY!. anyway, they also spwaned the sleeper, and, well, it wasnt the sleeper (which is a translucent dragon) but a giant naked (naked as in no armor or weps you homos) human, about 5 ogres tall. anyway, the "sleeper" killed the guild and verant banend the guild for "cheating" which...well they didnt. anyone who knows anything knwos that.
Anyway, i guess i kinda rambled on, but yeah, another bad thing is that a friend of mine, oen of the titans so to speak...well his wife left him. and then he quit EQ. ya its kinda sad. anyway, i hope this post works, cuz i be ****ed if this was a waste of time, i got 2 history e ssayz to write holmes/

No, i havent played for about 4 months, but for a reason, i'll tell that story i spoze:
A guy i had know for about 2 years and had played EQ about as much as me (more really, counting the 7 months or so i had quit from boredom of it), and we both started new chars on our home server. we were leving and such, and then i bought my account back from that one guy (read about it from above) and i was letting him use my char ( a druid, lev 60 at the time) to plev his monk when i wasnt on. at first it was koo, and he was helping me out too. but then, he started screwing things up, he sold stuff on my twink, he took items here and there. at the time i wasnt playing much, i was busy playing avernum, and i thought "hey, he's a good friend of mine, he'll fix it in time" and i talked to him bout it, he said he would. well he didnt, in fact, he devled my 60 druid to one buble into 50 and lost all his items on purpose. i havent played since or even had to gumption to sell the wounded account for what is now about 300 less. ya thats it. i may play later, but prolly not, eq is jsut getting worse and worse.
For whatever reason, you are leaving the game, good for you.
Your real friends are not in a fantasy game, but those you can see and touch.

Yeah thats true, and i never really got any good friends over eq, with one exception, a guy whos screename was vapor, who i could trust more than the guy i mentioned early, who i knew irl (in real life).
But i know some guys who met real good friends who became irl friends from the game. liek a guy named gideon who was traveling down here from i think kansas and was staying at one of my friend's for a few weeks. although i dont know what why he came over here.
Anyway, that too really makes ya miss the game, both game friends and just hunting buds.

No thanks, but dont worry about it. EQ is installed on my old fossil of a computer i used to play it on, i havent put it on my new machine i use now, and i dont plan to, except to do some trading before i sell the account. As i said, i havent loggged on or anything for about 4 months now, and i would have to reinstall it on this comp if i wanted to. that and when i sell the account, i wuz gunna include the CDs, even though you dont really need them much if you got the account keyz. thx tho.
